Massive Sweater Haul !!!

Hello again :) So here in New Jersey, where I call home, the cold weather is slowly creeping in. In my opinion, we've had great weather so far. It's already November and I haven't broken out a coat yet - just some little leather bombers, jean jackets, etc. But winter is coming (in NJ and in GOT;) and it is not my favorite season when it comes to fashion. I think it to be that because I'm so small (only 5 feet, people!) I get lost all covered up in heavy clothing. Pants are also the hardest thing for me to shop for. I don't even bother trying something on or ordering online unless its petite sized! Summer is soo much easier with shorts, skirts, floaty dresses and rompers! Anyways, as a result, I really don't have much of a "winter wardrobe" and I usually spend most of the season having nothing to wear. I decided to change things this year though! Once September hit, I did not allow myself to purchase anything unless it was cold weather wear. I also didn't want to spend loads of money on a just a few pieces (another grievance I find with winter wear) so I hit up all my fav spots I knew I'd get a good deal. And that I did! I present to you 17 fall/winter tops for a whopping total of $415. That comes out to $24.41 a piece...not bad, if you ask me :) Most of the stuff is every day/work wear and a few of the pieces can be dressed up a bit fancier. I also threw in a few other purchases I made that I thought were great deals for fall/winter.

fyi, I just took some quick snaps here of the pieces hanging, so you aren't really getting the full grasp on how fantastic some of them are...check me out on Instagram: Gs_Spot_Blog where I'll post my outfits so you can see how I style the pieces!

The following tops are from Tobi which is an online shop. They have 50% off everything sales fairly regularly, so I never purchase anything at regular price (they always restock too, so I don't worry about things selling out). Also, the quality is just decent - even if something is really cute, it's usually never worth the price they originally list it at. All the prices listed are the 50% off price I paid.

$34
nice baggy comfy fit - perfect with leggings (btw,  I got those flats from Aldo for $10!!!)

$24

$28

$32

$31 - this pic does nothing for it, but I am obsessed with this sweater! shoulder cutouts are such a sexy way to show some skin when it's freezing out haha

$18 each, basic little cadigans
Next up are 3 sweaters I just received last week from Nasty Gal, another online shop. They were already on sale PLUS I used a 25% off coupon code that was available for a few days. I love Nasty Gals clothing, but they are pretty over priced in my opinion!

$30

$40 - love this sweater, it's a big cozy oversized sweater wrap, perfect for lazy days

$40 - another sexy shoulder and back cutout sweater. this def needs to be seen on to get to the full effect!

The next 3 are from Zara that I actually got when they had their end of summer sale which was strange. I didn't really want to be buying bulky sweaters when it was still 80 degrees out, but I couldn't pass up such amazing prices...they were each only $15 !!!
here is the sweater below how I wore it recently with some ripped jeans (target $25) and a statement necklace. Also, I didn't get a pic of just the boots, but these are the only shoes I've purchased so far for the season and I looove them. They are Nine West, purchased from DSW for $130.

Next up are 3 tops I got from TJ Maxx. I love TJ Maxx and don't think I have ever walked out of that store empty handed!
$13 - oxblood, looove this color

$17 - this one also has really cute buttons going down the back

$15
And lastly, rounding out the $415 total is a cute vest from Urban Outfitters. UO is another store I love but find everything to be wayyy over priced. I also find that nearly everything I buy goes on sale, so now I don't really purchase from there unless I am obsessed with a piece or it's off the sale rack :)
$30
And I just want to add a few more things I purchased for the season at great prices! (these are not included in $415 total)
$17 from TJ Maxx, faux leather look. perfect for  a night out, i'm thinking with big earrings, dark skinny jeans and stiletto leather boots, meow!

a great everyday parka, in a color i'm loving for winter, oxblood! i bought this from asos (petite) on sale in August! again, the last thing i wanted to spend my money on in the summer was a jacket, but I loved the coat and knew if i didn't nab it then i'd end up paying $200 for one in November! purchased for $65

some lovely little scarfs from Tobi, $8 each (purchased at 50% off)

my everyday bag for fall from H&M for $25
So that's all for now! I hope you enjoyed that post and are inspired to go out and find some great deals :) Looking cute in the fall and winter does not mean having to spend loads of money! Next, I'm on the hunt for bottoms and shoes - hopefully a post coming on that soon!

So very nice to meet you :)

Hello! My name is Giuliana and this is my first blog post ever! Hopefully it reaches a few more people other than my mom and best friend (hi guys). I've always wanted to start a blog...I am hungover at the moment and annoyed with myself for being incapable of getting anything productive done on this gorgeous Saturday, so I thought I'd finally get around to it. I'll start off with a few reasons for starting this blog and what can be expected from future posts:

1. I am in a long distance relationship at the moment. My boyfriend was living here in the states with me but he's just recently moved back to his homeland, England, to get his masters in teaching (or a PGCE as they call it). So I have a lot more free time on my hands.

2. I am a vegetarian (pescetarian? I eat seafood) and generally healthy person but have gotten into the whole organic/GMO-free/anti big food companies movement lately. When I get into things, I get into them. I am still learning a lot about this lifestyle and plan to share what I learn along the way.  Join me in my green juice, goji berry filled journey!

3. After changing my food habits, I also started to look closer at the products I use on my body. I love makeup and beauty products. A favorite past time of mine was watching some of my favorite beauty bloggers beauty hauls on youtube and then going mental at Ulta, buying everything they raved about. It makes me sad to not be able to do this anymore but I can never knowingly slather a chemical filled lotion all over my body, my largest organ, knowing what I know. SO I am currently in the process in swapping out every product I use with a more natural/safer one. Since this stuff is pricey, I am finishing products I have and doing my research before buying a new replacement. I will share my purchases/reviews so you know what brand to turn to next time your BB cream runs out!

***sidenote: yes, I am aware of the hypocrisy...won't eat food or use product with suspect ingredients but will booze myself into a debilitating hangover. Such is my life...

4. CLOTHES! ACCESSORIES! BAGS! SHOES! Like the majority of girls out there, I'm obsessed with this stuff. You can never have enough of it. I also love a good deal and nothing beats the thrill of making the ultimate purchase at stores like Target and TJ Maxx. I'm also not the girl that gushes over how thrifty I am having purchased my dress for $20, yet am carrying a $3,000 bag or wearing shoes with red bottoms. There are a lot of great bloggers out there that do this, and it makes me just a little bit angry.

5. Fitness! I was always an athlete growing up and those habits have stuck. As I said, I'm quite the hungover mess today, but still dragged my ass out for a jog without thinking twice. Yoga is something I have always done on off since I was kid and am currently going through teacher training to be a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher! I am learning so much each week, not only the physical aspect, but the beautiful message behind it all. I plan to share the love.

So I think that pretty much sums up what you can expect from G's Spot. I hope you enjoy everything I have to offer...until next time!
